A message for 77,275,579 voters…
It’s been another one of those weeks of doctors’ appointments and meeting with Social Service peeps to help me file paperwork for energy assistance with the Community Action Agency in my area as well as calling the utility companies to make sure my accounts are qualified for and on their respective financial hardship programs… and… doing a lot of baking… especially with the holiday season beckoning.
Yes, I bake.
Pies and cookies and a cheese cake that I will put up against any cheese cake ever baked or that will be baked.
Just this evening alone I pulled out of my oven about six dozen or so cookies… Kolaches… or what we all from my neck of the woods call those Hungarian Christmas Cookies.
Long story short I been busy and it’s now Wednesday night and I’m supposed to be editing and fine tuning the latest WTF column to be posted online and I got bunches of ideas but nothing concrete written down… and I still gots a boatload of other stuff I gots to get done in general as well as for the Holiday seson in general…
So…
Tonight I’d like to take the WTF column to deliver a message to those 77,275,579 of those of we the peoples who voted for the Republican candidate this past November…
When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was imprisoned in the Birmingham Jail in 1963, he and one of his jailers… a Birmingham police cop… had a conversation that led the officer to offer up what he made in salary as an employee of the city of Birmingham.
Dr. King’s reply was something to the effect of telling the officer that instead of jailing people like him and his fellow demonstrators that the cop should be out there marching with him for justice and equality… and… for better pay.
So with that in mind… and after a year of Donald Trump and the suck-up Republican congress in power… and when the excrement hits the oscillating device, and your asses are caught in the inevitable economic crunch and hardship that will inevitably befall this country…
I’ll save a place for y’all to be out there marching and protesting and fighting in the streets for justice, equality and fairness… and… of course… better pay… with all of us progressives and liberals and moderates and a sprinkling of conservatives… who told you so in November 2024.
And then get on my knees and pray… that we don’t get fooled again…
Another thousand words…
