Terrordome of Trumpty or…
There’s the truth and then there are the variations folks play with the truth and sometimes on the truth. Donald Trumpty gives his audience his version of the truth and then there are what the facts really say…
So… ya’ll can open the door to the Trumpty terrordome of fairy tale and fractured truth or ya’ll can pass on by. The choice is yours…
Trumpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Trumpty Dumpty had a great fall;
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Trumpty together again.
… a variation on a child’s nursery rhyme
“I don’t know what you mean by ‘glory,’ ” Alice said.
Trumpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. “Of course you don’t… till I tell you. I meant ‘there’s a nice knock-down argument for you!’ ”
But ‘glory’ doesn’t mean ‘a nice knock-down argument’,” Alice objected.
“When I use a word,” Trumpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean… neither more nor less.”
“The question is,” said Alice, “whether you can make words mean so many different things.”
“The question is,” said Trumpty Dumpty, “which is to be master… that’s all.”
… apologies to Alice Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
There’s the truth or the Trumpty Dumpty terrordome…
Donald Trumpty Dumpty is a liar. He bloviates whatever comes to his mind and just spits it out lets it stand as reality. To say he plays loose and fancy with the truth is to say that a nuclear denotation is a little explosion… he is a fucking nova star exploding… a nova to beat all novas. A pathological lying SOB nova.
Trumpty Lie #1: “America is one of the highest-taxed nations in the world.”
Out of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which is comprised of 34 developed and large emerging-market economies, U.S. taxes are the fourth lowest among them all. Put into some perspective…in 2014, the U.S. taxes make up 26% of the total U.S. economy… Sweden’s taxes were 42%, Great Britain’s was 32% and Germany’s was 36%. Three members of OECD… or countries… had a lower figure than the U.S.: Chile, South Korea and Mexico.
Part of the reason some of those countries have higher taxes are due to single provider national health care, free or almost free higher education, etc… This is not to say that if the U.S. did any or all of those things… gave we the people better or single provider health care, provided young adults free, or at least much more affordable, educational opportunities and much more that the U.S. taxes would sky rocket, because they wouldn’t.
If, the U.S. was just a tad more judicious and smarter with how they spent the taxes they presently do get from we the people there in all likelihood would be almost no increase in our tax burden or the increase would be an essentially minimal amount…
For instance instead of pissing and moaning that we spend too much on “freebies” or give always such as food stamps or the SNAP program as it is now called at a cost of about $75 million, maybe the country shouldn’t build a war ship… aka Littoral Combat Ship… that the Navy neither wants or can effectively use. Because while they do float and do some war ship stuff like the war ship they were built to be, they frankly have too many problems and simply are more grief to the Navy than the $450 million price tag… that’s per boat… and since the order was at one point for 52 ships… do the math.
Or on an F-35 stealth fighter program that as of April 2016 is projected to cost over $1.5 trillion… did ya’ll grok that number? Yep… it’s Trillion as in 999,999,999,999 plus 1. And manufacturer Lockheed Martin says it ain’t even fully operational and it probably won’t be for another two or three years. And besides at his point the F-35 has been identified as having 91 “Category 1” or “Category 2” deficiencies by Dr. J. Michael Gilmore, the Pentagon’s chief weapons tester. In a report that was published earlier this year he listed 27 Category 1 deficiencies which “may cause death, severe injury, or severe occupational illness; may cause loss or major damage to a weapon system; critically restrict the combat readiness capabilities of the using organization; or result in a production line stoppage.”
Of the rest of the deficiencies… aka Category 2’s… they only could “impede or constrain successful mission accomplishment.”
But, they won’t fucking kill anyone’s ass.
Or… a guided missile destroyer… the USS Zumwalt… that will cost at least $4.4 billion, when finally developed and built according to an Associated Press report. A price tag that is double the cost of the Navy’s present guided missile destroyer… the Arleigh Burke.
Initially the Navy ordered 32 Zumwalts but now is thinking… hmmmm, maybe we should just get 3 of them babies. Which only came about after they tried to deep six the Zumwalt all together.
So, what’s the Navy gonna do?
Start development of an entirely new destroyer… and… build updated Arleigh Burke destroyers as they wait for the delivery of that new destroyer.
Ya think, if, they rethink what the totality is right now regarding our destructive power in relationship to any potential enemy threat… invasion, attack, etc… which is not only formidable but in all likelihood the equal to or an unmatched power by any other country… and its cost and then redirected some of that cashish towards something other than war and killing and death and destruction… ya think, some people might eat a little better than they do now or have better housing or just have a place to live within or maybe go to school without mortgaging their future asses off? Ya think, that could be a possibility if they just spent the money they had from out of our damn pockets… we the people’s pockets…. a little more wisely; with a little more forethought?
But…Trumps statement that we are the most taxed is still bullshit no matter who cuts it or how its cut.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Uniform Crime Reporting Statistics throughout America violent crime is at its lowest point since 1970 and there is no indication that the number will rise anytime soon, and, in fact, there is every indication that the number will decline… an decline at a steady rate.
Trumpty Lie #3: The number of police officers killed in the line of duty has risen by almost 50 percent compared to this point last year.
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, which tracks police fatalities daily, says that the number of cops who died of July 20…that’s just a week or so ago… at 67… while last year at this time it was 62 cops. And, while true that is more than last year that is not a significant statistical increase NOR is it any where near a 50% rise in cop deaths. And, by the way, the deaths… they are all in the line of duty BUT are from all causes of death including traffic fatalities.
To be fair to Trumpty… something that I believe is alien to his concept of how shit should work… cop deaths by peeps who are out to kill a cop(s) are up… 32 from 18. But that ain’t what he said. He needs to learn to play the game right or don’t play the damn game at all. Another thing that is alien to his concept to how shit works.
Still… cop deaths are down when compared to supposed time when things were much better in this world. (Maybe when we were supposedly so damn great?) The 109 cop deaths in 2013? They were the lowest since 1956.
Trumpty Lie # 4: “In our nation’s capital, killings have risen by 50%”
According to the Washington D.C. police department… in 2016… murders have actually decreased by 9%, from the same time in July, 2015. And, since 2008…. When the Bamster took office as the prez… murder has actually been going down.
Trumpty Lie # 5: “My opponent (Hillary Billary) has called for a radical 550 percent increase in Syrian (refugees). … She proposes this despite the fact that there’s no way to screen these refugees in order to find out who they are or where they come from. I only want to admit individuals into our country who will support our values and love our people.”
Trumpty, as well as most elephants, keep saying this bullshit… and that is exactly what it is… bullshit.
The Bamster led administration screens them immigrants/refugees and knows where they are from. The Department of Homeland Security leads the process, which involves rigorous background checks. And, the processing of a refugee can take 18 months to two years.
AND, if, a refugee is from Syria? Then it is a lot longer.
Refugees are given intensive interviews, are finger printed and given other what we the people would probably consider extremely intrusive, and possibly a violation of our rights, screening.
Could terrorist groups, such as ISIS, place an operative among the refugees being processed? Of course, they could but that doesn’t mean they ain’t being screened and screened probably harder than any group of people coming into America has ever been screened.
Trump Lie # 6: Libya was stable. Egypt was peaceful.
I am assuming he means since the Bamster took over as the leader of the so-called free world… and… if, that be the case… then…
Since about 1981, Libya’s relationship with the United States has been in a word… troublesome and tense. OK, that’s two words… sue my ass. Ya may get enough to get your ass a cup of coffee and the Daily News.
For instance… in 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was taken out with a bomb and 270 people were murdered. Libya took responsibility for that bombing… that act of terrorism. That t’weren’t exactly on the Bamster’s watch.
And, Egypt… they have a history of violating human rights for decades. According to a 2010 U.S. Department of State report…. Egypt has been involved in multiple political assassinations, kidnappings, cases of torture and violent protests for many several of years.
Trumpty Lie #7: My opponent wants to essentially abolish the Second Amendment.
Bullshit… bullshit… bullshit… and… ya know what? BULLSHIT.
Almost all people calling for some type of gun control are not advocating taking away any so-called second amendment rights. Ya got a gun legally? Then, ya can have it.
Most people are asking for a ban on assault weapons and are asking that it becomes a lot fucking harder for anyone to get a gun. That is not in any way, shape or form a revocation of any damn second amendment. Which, frankly, the NRA and many other elephants are interpreting wrong but that’s another issue entirely.
Specifically… Hillary Billary has not proposed any revocation of the so-called “constitutionally protected right” to bear arms. She does want a ban on certain military-style weapons, similar to the law Wee Willy signed back in the 1990s. A ban that has since expired and was never renewed. For obvious reasons… hint… NRA and paid off elephants. Hillary Billary also wants to expand criminal background checks to apply to weapons sales at gun shows. Presently, those checks apply to sales by federally licensed gun dealers. I don’t think that is (1) that outrageous a process to include in the selling of any weapon whatsoever and (2) in no ways can that be construed as someone wanting to abolish the second amendment.
These are just some of his outrageous and dumbass lies that he tries to pass off as truth… or… as the Trumpty truths… the world as Trumpty mind envisions it at any given moment.
The point of all this is to remind ya’l l that Trumpty is a twisted… and in my estimation… very sick puppy who needs to be kept away from all us other children on the playground. he is dangerous to our health and safety and well being. A public health warning label needs to be attached to his forehead that warns us all of his danger to the health of us all… especially the future of our children.
The preceding information and facts was gathered from various Associated Press sources as well as the New York Daily News, the Huffington Post and the Washington Post.
I can’t believe I still need to talk about this…
I have spoken often of the need for cops to speak out against cops who should not be cops… the need to eliminate certain people who are cops from continuing to be cops. That if a person who wears the blue …the badge… commits crime especially a crime where another person’s rights are violated and sometimes wind up dead because of those rights being violated, then the other cops who serve with that cop need to speak out against him.
In last week’s WTF I posted a picture of a woman at a Black Life Matters demonstration who held a sign that said “I cannot believe I still have to protest his shit.”
And… I cannot believe I still need to write about this shit…again and again and again and again… But, here I am with more reasons why I continue to write the stuff I do about cops and those who need to be banned from being cops. And, frankly who need to be busted and have their asses put into a jail for a damn long time. Especially, if they cause a serious injury, or even a death, due to their violation of a person’s rights or due to their racist attitudes… or… both.
The Austin American-Statesman has obtained a dashcam video that shows a white cop… Bryan Richter… slamming a Black woman… Breaion King… to the ground… twice. The big bad crime she committed… allegedly she was speeding.
The video of the Richter attack on Breaion starts in a parking lot started with Richter asking King to get back inside her white Nissan Versa. He then tells her the reason that he is pulling her over is she was speeding.
Richter says, “You were about to go inside without a wallet, so I know you were only coming over here because you knew I was going to pull you over. I can absolutely stop you if you’ve already parked, yes.”
Then he tells Breaion to get out of her car. She kinda, sorta hesitates and he then grabs her and starts pulling on her… she is heard yelling… “No, why are you touching me? Oh my God! Oh my God!”
Richter yells back… “Stop resisting! Get out of the car!”
She says… “I’m getting out, let me get out. Do not touch me.”
Richter then violently extracts her from her car; throws her down to the ground as he is screaming for her to put her hands behind her back. She, herself, is screaming in pain and he then says he will Tase her. As she struggles to rise up she cries, “Oh God, why are you doing this to me?”
Richter kicks her legs out from under her, picks her up and then throws her back down to the parking lot pavement. He then cuffs her as another cop pulls up.
A separate video has appeared that captures a conversation between another white cop… Patrick Spradlin… and Breaion.
Spradlin is seen asking Breaion… “Why are so many people afraid of black people?”
Breaion says… “That’s what I want to figure out because I’m not a bad black person.”
Spradlin: “I can give you a really good idea why it might be that way: violent tendencies.”
He also is heard saying, “Let me ask you this: Do you believe it goes both ways?” She says that she does think racism cuts both ways but thinks white people have more rights than Black people.
He says, “Ninety-nine percent of the time, when you hear about stuff like that, it is the black community that is being violent. That’s why a lot of the white people are afraid, and I don’t blame them. There are some guys I look at, and I know it is my job to deal with them, and I know it might go ugly, but that’s the way it goes. But yeah, some of them, because of their appearance and whatnot, some of them are very intimidating.”
Ahemmm… let’s see… Black person… they got violent tendencies… and they’re big muthers… they are ugly, big, violent muthers.
And… they all eat watermelon… dance real well… play basketball… any more stereotypes needed?
After viewing the tapes, Prosecutors cleared Breaion of a resisting arrest charge. She did get a ticket for speeding… which I assume was paid and done away with.
Breaion King is a 26-year-old elementary teacher, who, by the way, is all of a 112 pounds. So much for being a big Black badass violent person who is scary and intimidating
She has told the local newspaper she has hired lawyers and is considering suing the cops. She says, “I’ve become fearful to live my life. I would rather stay home. I’ve become afraid of the people who are supposed to protect me and take care of me.”
Her attorney says, “When I looked at this video, I was heartbroken because I thought, ‘That would never happen to me because I’m white.”
Don’t be so fucking sure lady. But, I hear what you are saying…
Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo has announced that he both Richter and Spradlin have been taken off the streets as the department conducts an internal review. A local newspaper said, “The probe will include both a criminal investigation and an administrative review into how Richter’s supervisors arrived at the decision to give him the lowest level of discipline: counseling and training.” Acevedo says, he wasn’t aware of Spradlin’s comments to Breaion until the media brought the issue up but thinks Spradlin’s language is racist. He has said that he wants to apologize to Breaion and said that “After reviewing both videos, I and our leadership team were highly disturbed and disappointed in both the way Ms. King was approached and handled and in the mindset that we saw on display in those videos… there is another piece, which has caused concerns as to our review process and the systems we have in place.”
North Miami (FL.) cops recently responded to a 911 call that said a man with a gun was threatening suicide.
Charles Kinsey, a behavioral therapist, told media outlets there was no gun… only an autistic man with a toy fire truck… that somehow the 911 caller and the cops, themselves, were mistaken.
And… to back Kinsey up… there was the ubiquitous cell phone video…
But… to set the scene…
The allegedly suicidal person was really a patient who had taken off from a group home. Kinsey is on the ground trying to talk him into coming back to the home…
This is where the cops show up and the cell phone video kicks in…
Kinsey lays on the ground… his hands are up in the air… as cops are aiming their guns at the two men. Then a shot is fired and it hits Kinsey. The same cop then cuffs him and flips him over. All the time Kinsey is heard in the video trying to tell the cops the truth of the situation… “All he has is a toy truck. A toy truck. I’m a behavior therapist at a group home… Rinaldo, please be still, Rinaldo. Sit down, Rinaldo. Lay on your stomach.”
Kinsey later told station WSVN… “I’m going to the ground, just like this with my hands up. And, I’m laying down here just like this. And, I’m telling him again, ‘Sir, there’s no need for firearms. I’m unarmed, this is an autistic guy. He has a toy truck in his hand.”
Kinsey also said, “When he shot me, it was so surprising. It was like a mosquito bite. And, when he hit me, I’m like, I still got my hands in the air. I said, ‘You know, I just got shot.’ And I’m saying to them, ‘Sir, why did you shoot me?’ And his words to me, he said, ‘I don’t know.’”
Kinsey ended his interview with WSVN by saying… “I was really more worried about him than myself, because as long as I’ve got my hands up, they’re not going to shoot me. This is what I’m thinking, ‘They’re not going to shoot me.’ Wow, was I wrong.”
But true to form… the cop who shot Kinsey has now come out and said… “I took this job to save lives and help people. I did what I had to do in a split second to accomplish that and hate to hear others paint me as something I’m not.”
And… the president of the Police Benevolent Association… aka the cop shop union… told reporters “It appeared to the officers that the white male was trying to do harm to Mr. Kinsey. In fearing for Mr. Kinsey’s life, the officer discharged his firearm trying to save Mr. Kinsey’s life and he missed.”
Need I say it? The cop really thought the guy with his hands up was in danger … (check out the picture to the right)… from the autistic dude? And, let’s assume the cop did see the situation as life threatening … he tried to shoot the autistic dude… and… he shot Kinsey instead?
Ya’ll looking at the picture? Any guess how far apart they seem? That cop is a really fucking bad shot…
He needs someone to tell him take all the bullets out of his gun and give them to another cop. He gets one back and then… ala Barney Fife (Google it, youngsters)… he has to place it in his pocket. Then, only when he is given permission he can use the one bullet…
Seriously… the cop needs to have his ass thrown off the force. He reacted horribly in a serious but controllable situation. And, he doesn’t even know why he shot a man. Remember what Kinsey said earlier? He asked the coop why did you shoot me? And, the cop said I don’t know? Kinsey’s lawyer has told reporters that he… Kinsey… also heard another cop ask the shooter why he shot his weapon and that the reply was the same… he didn’t know why he shot Kinsey.
And, then to later say he had to use his gun… had to shoot the other guy… to protect Kinsey? Really?
Appears to me some one is telling a big fat fucking lie. Guess whose side I’m leaning to right now.
If, the cop believed that Kinsey was no threat to anyone BUT needed protecting, then, why in hell does the cop cuff Kinsey and then flip him over? What he thought Kinsey would grab the fire truck and beat his ass?
I understand trying to cover your ass. Especially, when there may be certain future entanglements… with courts, possible lawsuits, and, maybe even a potential criminal trial… but… there are ways you do that without insulting people’s intelligence. I mean really do these cops and their unions… and understand that I see the need for unions and support unions (just like there are bad cops; there are bad union “leaders”)… but… what do they think? We got stupid written across our foreheads? That just put it out there and we will swallow it?
The cop who shot Kinsey needs to be fired… if for nothing else… incompetency. He shoots an unarmed man and when asked why, and, he says I don’t know. Then, allegedly says the same thing to another cop who also asked why did he shoot Kinsey?
Then later when everyone has time to sit and compare notes …when the smoke has literally cleared away… he comes out and says that he was aiming at the other guy but shot the guy he shot because he had a bad aim. Maybe he didn’t use them exact words but essentially that’s what he is saying.
I guess they all really do think we all have stupid written across our foreheads. Huh? Pleaseeee…..
Sorry… peeps like that don’t need to be cops. Peeps like that are incompetent and, if, nothing else, they do not have the psychological mien, or makeup, to withstand the pressures of being a cop in tension ladened and potentially dangerous situations. Peeps like that let their emotions rule how they will use their weapon when a clear and steady mind is needed.Peeps like that do not need to be cops.
They do not need to be cops when they distort and obfuscate stuff about the entire deal to protect their ass and keep their job. Peeps like that have no idea what being a cop is really about… that it’s not just putting on a badge and a uniform, rather it’s the man who understands what the truth is in the words “to serve and to protect.” Peeps like that do not know how to do the right and just thing. Peeps like that are bad cops and need to be removed from the police force.
Let’s face reality…
And… the lies that cover up for bad cops needs to stop.
To perpetuate and allow bad cops to be on the force not only effects decent and rightfully done, as well as necessary, police work, it very negatively impacts society. All the citizenry of society… but… it damn well extremely impacts people of color, specifically Black people more than any other segment of the that society. That needs to stop. It very well needs to stop and needs to stop starting now.
It won’t … but… it needs to…
Bad cops need to be exposed and then they need to be let go from all of the police forces they are on.
Can I make this any clearer?
All people who wear the uniform… from the lowest cop on the beat to the highest cop in the bureaucracy, including the commissioners… need to stop protecting bad cops. They need to start building a police force that can be trusted and will do their jobs with respect for the communities they serve; respect for those that live within those communities, and, for Christ’s sake, they need to their job with respect for their departments and above all themselves and their fellow officers.
If, they can’t, then find another job and take their racist opinions with their asses out the door as they leave.
“As a proud American, a father who lost his own dad in a senseless act of violence, and a black man, I have been deeply troubled by the deaths of African-Americans at the hands of law enforcement and angered by the cowardly and hateful targeting and killing of police officers. I grieve with the families who have lost loved ones, as I know their pain all too well.
I was raised by parents who taught me to love and respect people regardless of their race or background, so I am saddened and frustrated by the divisive rhetoric and racial tensions that seem to be getting worse as of late. I know this country is better than that, and I can no longer stay silent. We need to find solutions that ensure people of color receive fair and equal treatment AND that police officers – who put their lives on the line every day to protect us all – are respected and supported.”
“… the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s newly established Institute for Community-Police Relations and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. The Institute for Community-Police Relations’ policy and oversight work is focused on building trust and promoting best practices in community policing. My donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the nation’s oldest civil rights law organization, will support its ongoing work in support of reforms that will build trust and respect between communities and law enforcement. Although I know these contributions alone are not enough to solve the problem, I hope the resources will help both organizations make a positive difference.”
With all due respect and in consideration of the loss of his dad from a senseless murder, I ask… What the hell took ya’ll so long?
I know all famous and rich athletes can’t always find it within themselves to speak out against injustice and I also know some famous and rich athletes don’t care to be role models and who knows maybe they are doing stuff behind the scenes that I have no knowledge… but… when there is injustice and when people are dying because of that injustice, I believe it behooves those famous and rich athletes… especially those who maybe came from circumstances that weren’t always rosy and peachy keen; whose family maybe struggled to make ends meet and sometimes felt the arrogance and the the racism of cops… to use their status and position to add a special resonance to the cry for justice and equality.
So once again… respectfully… what took ya’ll so long? But… welcome to the fray… better late than never.
No, you cannot “Hang the Bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
New Hampshire State Representative Al Baldasaro, who is also a Trump delegate from the state recently was on the the Jeff Kuhner Show that is aired from Boston, Massachusetts. Baldasaro big 15 minutes of fame came when he said, “I’m a veteran that went to Desert Shield, Desert Storm. I’m also a father who sent a son to war, to Iraq, as a Marine Corps helicopter avionics technician. Hillary Clinton to me is the Jane Fonda of the Vietnam. She is a disgrace for the lies that she told those mothers about their children that got killed over there in Benghazi. She dropped the ball on over 400 emails requesting back up security. Something’s wrong there.”
Up to this point I’m all good with what he says. It doesn’t matter whether I agree with him or not. He has a right to his opinion, regardless of how wrong he may be.
But then… he gets dangerously pathetic… not only pathetic but he has a moment that I think should get his ass before some judge somewhere… when he says, “This whole thing disgusts me, Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason.”
Given a chance by the Boston Globe to clarify what he said and what he meant he stood his ground and said he meant what he said.
He also appeared on WMUR in New Hampshire and again doubled down on his dangerous threats, “As far as I’m concerned, it is treason and the penalty for treason is the firing squad… or maybe it’s the electric chair now.”
He also was quoted by the Daily Beast with saying, “Anyone that commits treason should be shot. “I believe Hillary Clinton committed treason. She put people in danger. When people take confidential material off a server, you’re sharing information with the enemy. That’s treason.”
When a Trumpty Dumpty campaign spokesperson was asked about what Baldasaro said the reply was “We’re incredibly grateful for his support, but we don’t agree with his comments.”
A U.S. Secret Service spokesperson has issued a statement that said, “The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this matter and will conduct the appropriate investigation.”
Then in or around the same time Baldasaro was issuing his “murderous words of sagacity”, Michael Folk, an elephant member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, told CBS affiliate WOWK-TV that he had tweeted, “Hillary Clinton, you should be tried for treason, murder, and crimes against the US Constitution… then hung on the Mall in Washington, DC.”
Folk told the station that he posted the tweet due to the fact that the FBI’ decided not to charge Clinton over the investigation into her private email server.
The tweet, has since been deleted.
Folk who is also a professional pilot got some extreme heat from his other employer, United Airlines: “We are appalled by comments advocating harm to any person. They do not represent United Airlines and we are looking into the matter further.”
Among the many tweets that came out regarding Folk’s comments were calls for his resignation and for the US Secure Service to arrest his ass for threatening a candidate for POTUS.
According to WOWK, the West Virginia Democratic Party issued the following statement: “Not only are Delegate Folk’s words concerning, they are disturbing. The mention of hanging and implication of murder should never, ever be acceptable. To think that a person in a leadership position in our state can say these types of things is baffling and should not be tolerated. Folk’s actions should deem him as unfit to serve and Speaker Tim Armstead should take action if Folk doesn’t resign. It makes me very worrisome for the people of West Virginia that someone who can feel this type of hate and use this type of rhetoric is in any position of power.”
Since all of that hoopla occurred Folk has appeared on CNN and said, “I do think she should be tried and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
When he was asked by CNN if she still should she be hanged for her actions, he said, “No, my gosh. That was the hyperbole in the statement.” Then he added, “The rule of law is gone. The average person that would have done something like that would have been in jail for life.”
Hmmm… they should get life? I see he still likes hyperbolizing things a tad there.
People change but not that much. Reckon he got his dinky slapped and slapped hard about his hyperbole? And, maybe has had a change of heart about going around calling for people to be hung or killed?
AND, finally the coup de grace came during the Republican National Committee gala where Trumpty Dumpty was declared to be their official nominee for the prez.
At least three speakers called for Hillary Billary to be thrown into the hoosegow as the convention crowd shouted things like “Lock her up!” and “Hang the bitch!”
Susan Reneau, an alternate delegate from Montanat told a reporter that Hillary Billary should be “swinging from the rafters.”
Sounds like she be calling for a hanging if ya’lls want my opinion. Or is that some more of that damn hyperbole stuff?
Reneau also said, “Hillary has jeopardized everyone. It’s not even fair to call this her Watergate… Watergate was peanuts by comparison.”
Now that is some damn over exaggeration there… oops… I mean hyperbole.
But not all the elephants were saying such murderous, malicious and potentially illegal words. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) tweeted… Clinton “now belongs in prison? C’mon. We can make the case that she shouldn’t be elected without jumping the shark.”
But the overall tone of the convention was more similar to that of a 17th century Salem witch hunt than political convention… some folks told reporters that, “(The elephants) were barely one step removed from screaming ‘burn her at the stake.’ It felt like a dark turning point in American politics.”
I have said this in previous WTFs… I do not like Hillary Billary. I don’t trust her one iota. I think she lies as much as Trumpty does but I do think her lies are less treacherous than Trumpty’s… that is… maybe to say… less harmful to the overall fabric of society.
Damn, now I’m justifying trying to defend her… as if lies and being mendacious can be justified…
Any way…. the fact is… people cannot… should not… be able to call for someone’s death without feeling some mighty powerful repercussions for those words. Like I said about Baldasaro… at the minimum they should be in front of a judge doing some serious explaining. And then forget that slap on the wrist shit… no, “OK, we accept your apology. Now go away and just don’t do this crap, again.”
Hell, no… I want them to get punished for saying the words that threaten a person’s life…. They need to at least suffer some serious indignity and time off from life…
200 hours cleaning the highways and byways, maybe? A year’s worth of weekends?
Another two thousand words….
