The scene of the crime … WTF 7/20

crime scene

The scene of the crime…bleeding flag

A long time ago I once wrote this column and I used the headline “Stop the world I wanna get off… seriously.” Lately, it seems as if the editorial cartoon atop this column is more truthful than ever. It is as if the world is fast becoming one great big ginormous crime scene… what with killings and wars and insurgencies and this or that corporation being caught at raping the environment for more and more profits or fat cat bankers getting their hands caught in the till robbing mom and pops retirement money… it’s one big fucking crime scene…

And then…

Another weekend gone by and another racially connected killing tallied. This time it’s another ex-military Black man killing cops… in Baton Rouge… maybe…probably most likely… in answer to the death of Anton Sterling by cop about a week or so ago…

NYDN front pageI wrote last week… after another military connected Black person killed cops in Dallas… that I wasn’t surprised… and… I’m not surprised by this killing either. Because, like I said then, unless something is done to correct the way cops act towards citizens…especially citizens of so-called color. .then this is just going to escalate…

The Bamster, or whoever, can call these killings the acts of cowardice but I wouldn’t.

Maybe of hatred… maybe of frustration… maybe of misdirected sense of justice… and… maybe a whole hell of a lot of different maybes… but… I don’t think it is/was from cowardice that these killings are being done.

I will tell ya’ll the emotion I am going through right now… it is frustration… frustration and tiredness of the entire racial turmoil that seems to engulf this country. Tiredness and frustration that somehow we just can’t seem to get it through our thick fucking homo sapiens skulls that regardless what anyone thinks about race the reality is that we are all one people. We are… from what history, anthropology and archaeology tells us… all essentially related… evolved from… to people from the continent of Africa… somewhere along our gene lines we have the DNA of an African…

Face the truth…

joe1We are all one fucking human race…

Cannot anybody grok the full implications and gravity of that fact?

Get over yourselves, everybody… get over this entire bullshit race thing…

Until we all do… these so-called racially tied killings will continue to go on in America.we are humans until

The fact is… this racial dissonance and disjunction is a manufactured thing anyway. It is just another brick in the 1%’s wall (See… Donald Trumpty Dumpty wasn’t the first to think about building walls between the races) to keep us all divided and our attention away from the truth… they just want us fighting amongst ourselves, so they can continue to distract us all from understanding what the nature of their game is in this thing we call life… to control it all as they live off of the labors of the working and middle class. And… truth be known… even them upper class minions… who think they’re different but they ain’t nothing but slaves to the wishes of the truly rich… the truly wealthy… the .01% of the 1%. They serve them that really makes the rules.

Been that way for a long damn time now…

cannot protestAlways been a bunch of peeps who control it all and just want us to be too busy worrying about what the other poor schmuck has and what we don’t so we don’t notice the magic trick… the mumbo jumbo… that they is pulling on us all…

It’s the old nothing in my hand…nothing up my sleeve… presto… fuck ya’ll…

Not even a damn rabbit…

White folks… all Black people want is an equal chance… all they want is to be on the same footing on you… no conditions; no nothing…

They just want to start from go… right out of their mama’s chute… with the same chance that ya’ll got of being whatever there is to be gotten in this damn world.

Black folks… the thing is this… white people have been hoodwinked into thinking they’re better than you. Doesn’t make what they sometimes do to ya’ll right… because it ain’t. But, they been lied to and bamboozled all their lives into thinking they are better than ya’ll and that they are the masters of their lives. When the only thing they can master is making sure they can pay their next month’s mortgage or rent and try and get a little extra left over to prepare for the next inevitable catastrophe that will come into their lives… and… they do a piss poor job of mastering even that.knowyourenemy

When we both can understand that this is where it’s really at… which is nowhere… then maybe we can all pull together and grab our pitchforks and go after the real masters of this world who sit in their platinum castles counting out the money in their McDuck Enterprises money bins.

Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.”

Those words are usually widely attributed to banking tycoon Mayer Amschel Rothschild in 1838, which is, more or less, said to be the founding principle for the highly corrupt banking and political system that we have today.

I don’t advocate violence… ever… except in self defense… but… ya’ll want an enemy to struggle against… start with people who pray before that idol… that god… untold and unimaginable wealth… the .01% of the 1%.

Just stop killing one another… especially, over something we label as race…

A combat veteran’s perspective…

Saw this in the NYDN on Monday… an op-ed article written by Brandon Friedman.

Friedman is the CEO of The McPherson Square Group. He served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan and Iraq.

gun in windowAbout the Minnesota cop who shot Philando Castile… he says…

“The panic in the police officer’s voice revealed everything about his level of training. Philando Castile lay dying in the passenger seat. As he bled to death, the officer stood there, visibly upset, pointing his weapon, never rendering aid.”

About the iconic photo of a woman standing peacefully as cops in Baton Rouge rush to bust her… he says…

woman in sun dress“In Baton Rouge, a photograph shows officers in Robocop-like riot gear bearing down on an unarmed woman in a sun dress. It’s the very definition of heavy-handedness in community policing.”

He then says…

“Responding to these events, Iraq veteran and former infantry officer Nick Kardonsky wrote on Facebook that if soldiers ‘were so reliant on lethal force . . . we would all be in jail for life.’”

Got your attention yet? Good because I think this gets a hell of a lot better as he goes on…

Freidman writes…

“I’ve never been a police officer. But I’ve worked rough neighborhoods. I’ve conducted traffic stops, raided houses and managed dangerous crowds. And like many other combat veterans, I’ve been in fire fights.

The difference is that overseas, the people with whom I interacted often wore suicide vests, not sun dresses. They weren’t packing stolen pawn shop pistols; they were carrying rocket-propelled grenades and burying daisy-chained artillery shells. There, we learned to minimize force and de-escalate when possible…because escalation in an insurgency leads to unnecessary violence. And when everyone wants to go home, no one wants that.” (My italics)iraq-soldier-patrol

WTF: Like cops and citizens who want to go home after a hard day’s work or play or running errands or whatever… instead of being in confrontations that wind up with one or the other or both very, very hurt or dead.

Freidman then quotes Sonny Haynes… another former soldier and Iraq veteran who says…

“It was a constant struggle to balance how much risk I was willing to accept. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know killing an innocent civilian was a surefire way to create enemies.”

WTF: Then Freidman writes these words… and, this, to me, is an utterly amazing statement… maybe I’m naive but I really do think that what Freidman says is quite astounding…

“Infantry soldiers are trained not to shoot unless it’s a last resort. If you have to shoot, you stop when the threat is neutralized. You render aid to the wounded and captured. Anything less is a war crime.”

And, from that leads into…

“Combat units that meet civil unrest with force usually find themselves in a downward spiral with the community. The same applies to policing at home.” (My italics)

He offers this from Raf Noboa y Rivera… another former Iraq vet…fire bad cops

“If I could choose to de-escalate in Iraq, then how come these (cops) do the opposite over and over. How come they keep resorting to deadly force? If, they can’t keep the peace, then they shouldn’t be police officers, full stop.”

WTF: Thank you!

People who fought in heavy war zones… they think this way…

And… then there are our cops… why they always got an attitude… yep… I’m serious… because they do. Most cops when they stop you for whatever… they got that cop ’tude. Even if they are nice about it, it’s still there. I am a cop and you gotta listen to me or there will be consequences.

Freidman again…

“In Iraq and Afghanistan, units that strove for good relationships with the community usually incurred more short-term risks. But they generally had better long-term outcomes. Unfortunately, too few police departments see it the same way.”

WTF: Now read and grok this next statement… let it sink in and permeate through the old grey matter…

“According to the Police Executive Research Forum, new officers typically spend nearly eight times as many hours learning to use weapons as they do learning to de-escalate. (My italics) That’s backwards.

Of course we can’t paint police, most of whom are competent and professional and many of whom are veterans, with a broad brush. There are great ones, good ones, decent ones and bad ones.

warrior-copBut neither should we continue to provide local departments with military-grade vehicles, body armor and weaponry without insisting they effectively train their officers in de-escalation.”

He then quotes Sonny Haynes again… “I’m now a teacher. If I walk into class on day one and set a confrontational tone, I’ll have a confrontational semester.”

Freidman ends the article… “It’s the same on the street… whether in Baton Rouge or Baghdad.”

WTF: This speaks for itself… I got nothing to really say except… to me… these are words of wisdom and advice that all police forces throughout America need to apply… yesterday. I have said for awhile now, that cops need to be better trained in how to deal with the citizens of the communities they serve. And, that cops need to get rid themselves of that I am cop hear me roar attitude that so many cops have when dealing with people.

Employing Friedman’s thinking is a hell of a starting point…

I guess elephants can forget…

What I am about to present next has been tossed around and criticized from all the various aspects that it can be… from both sides of the aisle… elephant and donkey… conservative and liberal… you name it. They all have kicked in with their opinions…

What?

Some dude was walking around where the elephants are holding their convention in Cleveland and came across a sign near an elevator that said…

“White Elevators.”white only

Now… I am not absolutely positively sure… but… I am, from stuff that I have read,  pretty damn sure that it is just a reference to some color coded scheme… maybe based on the patriotic colors of the grand old flag… ya know, the stars and stripes… so, certain groups of people know which elevators they should take to go wherever they should be going in a most expeditious manner.

But… come on… no one thought about how those words were gonna be perceived? Especially, with all the craziness going on in this country surrounding race? Cops shooting and killing Black folks, and, then Black men shooting cops…

When the shit hit the fan and that sign was exposed and all the commentary came out how it was reminiscent… and not in a good reminiscent way… of the segregationist era in this country when then had signs at places like water fountains, rest rooms or in diners that said… “Colored Only” and “White Only”…. a statement was soon issued that said that the “White Elevators” sign is being “replaced for obvious reasons.”

Maybe, if the elephants hadn’t picked a dude as their candidate to be the prez of the country who spews out racist, bigoted, misogynist words at the drop of a hat and has gotten endorsements from peeps like David Duke, a former grand wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, all this hoopla over that sign might not have happened… but, again…

Come, on. I mean… no one even hesitated a tiny bit and thought… “Hmmmm… ya think peeps might get the wrong idea?”

You have got to be kidding me…supreme-court-seat

Ya’ll should know by now I ain’t voting for Hillary Billary… no way, no how. I just can’t. I believe she is untrustworthy… very possibly a pathological liar…among a lot of other things…  She tends to lie when the truth would serve her so damn much better.

BUT… even though I think she is lying her ass off about those damn emails and the fact there was classified info going back and forth…

I gotta say this…The elephant controlled Congress have now held at least five freaking hearings on those damn emails, and, we’ll probably hear about them all through the campaign leading up to the elections, and, all the while the elephant led Congress will probably try and have another hearing on the damn emails…  but… they can’t even hold one hearing to confirm a person to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court?

Pleasssseeeee…

Dishonorable honor…

I’m gonna give you the bare facts…

Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch rose to fame largely based upon her social media posts which were considered to be very “bold” in the Pakistani world.  She dared to be outspoken and she dared to speak for Pakistani women’s empowerment…

Qandeel Baloch
Qandeel Baloch

These incidents plus her outspokenness about Pakistani women did not endear her to certain prominent factions in Pakistan.

On Saturday (7/16) she was found dead.

On Sunday her brother confessed to strangling her for the “honor of the family”… mostly because she posted shameful pictures on social media sites. He said that he slipped her sedatives the night before and then strangled her in her sleep.

He also said, “Money matters, but family honor is more important.”

Here’s another fact for ya’ll…

Each year about 1,000 women are murdered in Pakistan for the violating Pakistani “rules” regarding love, marriage and public behavior. These “honor killings” are usually carried out by a family member or sometimes by the males of the family as a whole.

These killings are considered murders under Pakistani law… but… and it’s a big but… Islamic law in Pakistan allows a murder victim’s family to pardon the killer. Which means the killer can get off scot free.

Now…

Qandeel Baloch’s selfies with Mufti Qawi

Listen up people… what god tells peeps they can go killing women because they “disrespected” them and their family?  I am here to tell ya’ll… if, that god exists then I want nothing to do with that damn god… nothing at all. If, I just committed blasphemy then so be it. Then, I did… let  the lightning bolts rain on down.

But a god like that is no god worth believing in.

Wanna know some truth?

Marx was right… religion is truly the opiate of the people. Religion is just used to manipulate people and dumb them down. The way religion is used… it has nothing to do with god.  I don’t what damn book they quote from or what high priest they say had a vision or went around conversing with what almighty being… it did not happen. God does not go around talking, or dictating, about what all men can do or not do to women.

And… it has nothing to do with anyone’s honor to go around killing people…

It’s all just another control thing… it truly is another control thing used so men can keep women in “their place.” Right from the get go… when religion was first conceived… a man put in a book that a woman is why there is evil in this world. It is… the honor killing… in fact, a most dishonorable act.

Nas said it so well in his “America”…

America (America), pay attention
Wake up (America)
This is not what you think it is
America (America), pay attention
Wake up (America)
This is not what you think it is

Assassinations
Diplomatic relations
Killed indigenous people
Built a new nation
Involuntary labor
Took a knife split a woman naval
Took her premature baby
Let her man see you rape her
If I could travel to the 1700’s
I’d push a wheelbarrow full of dynamite
Through your covenant
Love to sit in on the Senate
And tell the whole government
Y’all don’t treat women fair
She read about herself in the bible
Believing she the reason sin is here
You played her, with an apron
Like, “Bring me my dinner, dear.”
She the nigger here
Ain’t we in the free world?

And before Nas was John Lennon… he sang…

Woman is the nigger of the world, yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look to the one you’re with
Woman is the slave to the slaves
Ah yeah, better scream about it
We make her bear and raise our children
And then we leave her flat for being a fat old mother hen
We tell her home is the only place she should be
Then we complain that she’s too unworldly to be our friend

and then sings…

We insult her every day on TV
And wonder why she has no guts or confidence
When she’s young we kill her will to be free
While telling her not to be so smart we put her down for being so dumb
Woman is the nigger of the world, yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look to the one you’re with
Woman is the slave to the slaves
Yes she is, if you believe me, you better scream about it

We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance…

Let’s all get up and dance to the fear…

After the insane terrorist asshole drove his truck in France and mowed down and killed or horribly maimed countless amounts of people as their assembled along the Promenade des Anglais to watch Bastille Day fireworks, the huckster bad boy Billy O’Reilly and the presumptive elephant nominee to be prez,,, Trumpty Dumpty butt kissed one another as they went about sowing the seed of hysteria and fear among whoever was within earshot of their words.oreilly

O’Reilly said, “It’s a world war now. We’re in a world war scenario.”

Trumpty agreed… when O’Reilly pressed the Trumpty dude by asking  if elected would he formally declare war on ISIS…

Trumpty said,  “This is war. If you look at it, this is war. Coming from all different parts. And frankly it’s war.”

First and foremost… while this is indeed a world matter it in no way should be considered to be on the level of either WW I or WW II…

Hillary Billary is correct when she said… in fact On O’Reilly’s show…  when she said the war against ISIS is a “different kind of war.” It is a military action against terror. She added that America and European countries need an “intelligence surge” and they need to have more exchanges of intel, so there can be a concerted and a united effort to prevent terror, while at the same time intensifying attacks against ISIS on their own ground.

Then … oh, how sweet the irony… the Bamster has already called for an  Authorization for the Use of Military Force against ISIS… that measure has somehow stalled in the elephant controlled congress…

But, let’s all get up and dance to a tune that was hit before your mother was born a long, long time ago…

A tune born of arrogance and ignorance aforethought, to incite the masses to foolhardiness and stupidity… a tune of hysteria and fear…

Another thousand words…
