Word according to… WTF 5/11

GOP suicide and hills

The word is…

This week WTF be talking about the concept of… do unto others… and… a whole bunch of other stuff good and otherwise… but… the lead story is… “word according to WTF”… or… maybe… just another a fractured bible story…

Do unto others…

joe1Recently it was reported that an Asheville (NC) woman with disabilities had a car with disabilities after she was in an accident. She called her mechanic, who was about 45 minutes away from the scene but he said he was unable to come to her assistance. So, her mechanic got in touch with a local tow truck operator and told him of her situation and that the woman suffered from multiple disabilities and needed help as soon as it could be rendered.

Ken Shupe arrived on the scene to tow Cassy McWade’s car and thus rescue the damsel in distress. And, soon after he said his hellos he started to hook everything up so he could tow the vehicle and he suddenly  took pause… checked out the Bernie bumper sticker that was plastered on the car… and…. being the good damn evangelical Christian who just happened to vote for Trumpster that he was… said, “I can’t tow you.”ken_shupe

Cassy perplexed asks why? Something is that wrong with the car?

He says “No, you’re a Bernie supporter.”

She says…  among the myriad of things that were running around her brain like a freight train gone wild… What! You got to be kidding me… that’s why?

…and he says “Yes ma’am.”

And, Shupe goes off on his merry old way… leaving a woman with disabilities and her disabled car by the side of the road without any nearby facilities to even take a badly needed pee.

When asked by media peeps why he would do such a thing to a person who was in obvious need of help, this schmuck… who knew this woman had multiple disabilities… who even had one of them disabled placards in her car window… said … “Something came over me, I think the Lord came to me, and he just said get in the truck and leave. And when I got in my truck, you know, I was so proud, because I felt like I finally drew a line in the sand and stood up for what I believed.”

When he was told that Cassy had multiple disabilities… he said… “Had she been disabled, would I have towed her car? No ma’am. I would have pulled forward and sat there with her to make sure she was OK until another wrecker service showed up to get her home safely, but I still would not have towed her car. I stand by my decision, and I would do it again today if the opportunity presented itself.”

He added a bunch of mumbo jumbo about how these Bernie types had left him high and dry more than once for $50 towing fees here and there… but… ya, know… essentially… he is full of shit and full of himself and full of his fucked up backwards twisted so-called Christian morality that is tainted with right wing conservative politics…

Wait… I’m sorry… that’s a damn insult to conservative political peeps… Trumpster politics are made on the fly and off the top of his woe begotten brain… not even Raygun or Tricky Dicky were that damn low.

But… back to Shupe and Cassy…

As far as he sitting with her… I don’t believe that for a damn second… sorry… I just don’t…

Right off the bat… the man is a liar from what I see… he was told by Cassie’s mechanic that she was a woman who had disabilities… and he noticed the Bernie bumper sticker but not the Disability placard in her vehicle’s window? Pleaseeee…. I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya…hgwy 61

And, about his “something came over him”?… the Lord came to him and said for him to get into his truck and leave? I Haven’t heard a story like this since Dylan sang …God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son”; Abe said, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on”; God said, “No”; Abe say, “What?”; God say, “You can do what you want, Abe, but The next time you see me comin’, you better run”; Well, Abe said, “Where d’you want this killin’ done?”

And Dylan’s words at least were his version of something from out of the Old Testament…

Simply put… what Shupe did… it defies any human or common decency… it goes beyond any logical comprehension that Shupe could make a decision NOT to do the Christian thing and help a fellow human being who needed help.

Or, is that part of being a Christian… helping those who need help… not in his version of the Bible?

There’s no mention of the Good Samaritan in his Bible?

Ya know… where Christ is hanging out with his crew and this lawyer type dickhead comes up to him and says “What should I do if I wanna be saved… to have everlasting life?”

Christ says that it is written in the law books. (The dude is a lawyer after all.) How do you grok it?”

The lawyer dude says… “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself.”

Christ says, “That’s right. So, go do that and you will attain what you want.”

But… the lawyer being a true dickhead who is trying to trap Christ says, “But who is my neighbor?”

Good-Samaritan-Bible-StoryChrist says… “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side. In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion, came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’ Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?”

The humbled lawyer said… “The dude who showed the beaten man mercy and helped him.”

Christ said… “Well? Go and do the same to whoever needs help.”

There is no mention of anything else… just do the same for whoever needs to be helped. Doesn’t matter if the person in need thinks like you, or, if, the person is a different religion or a different anything whatsoever… just… if, a person needs help and you can possibly give it to them… do it.

Now, ya wanna know what I think… I’m not sure what god spoke to Shupe… or… even if any god did speak to him… but if’n someone spoke to Shupe it sure as hell wasn’t any christian idea of god I was ever taught about during my twelve years of Catholic schooling…

Want more truth?

Shupe is a dickhead just like that lawyer dude who busted Christ’s balls in that there bible story…

All I gots to say is this…

Shupe ain’t no Christian and is one damn ugly fucking American who doesn’t deserve the time of day… but… if… he were broken down on the side of the road, I betcha Cassy would help him out of his bad situation without any reservation on her part whatsoever…

Like it says in the bible story… go and do likewise… help those in need who can’t help themselves.

Be a nice person regardless of who needs the help and not some dickhead. Just do unto others like you would want to be done to…

That’s the word according to WTF…

I got a secret…

News item that I spied recently… the State Department says it won’t release any documents relating to Hillary Clinton’s email security procedures and protocol until after the November presidential election.email2

Now this Hillary bullshit and her emails has been going on for what seems an eternity and back in March 2015, after some folk filed Freedom of Information (FOI) Act requests with the State Department, State began to release some of her emails BUT State still hasn’t released documents about what procedures Hillary was supposed to use to keep emails on her server secure… an interesting topic considering that the FBI is supposedly still looking deeply into Hillary and/or her staff committing any criminal activity…

One Jason Koebler… a freelance writer from NYC…  who has been filing FOI requesting information from state was recently sent this reply email… “This is a follow-up email response to your email dated April 21, 2016. Our office was recently informed that due to the ongoing processing of your request, the estimated completion date fro your request has been extended to December 2016.”

emailIn a recent online article from the Motherboard website (where he is listed as a staff writer), Koebler says “December 2016, of course, is just after the election for the next president of the United States. The FOIA process is a notorious mess, but it is patently ridiculous that records pertaining to the security practices of someone who stands a very good chance of running the country… and thus being in possession of highly sensitive documents at all times… won’t be made available to the public a year and a half after they were requested.”

My reaction is… mighty fucking convenient? Eh?

Not saying anything one way or the other… but… isn’t this “protection” by the Bamster’s State Department sorta like when during the 1968 prez elections Nixon promised “peace with honor” and that he had a “secret plan” to end the Vietnam War? A plan that he would reveal after the election… obviously, only if he got elected.

Hmmm… I guess I said something thereafter all… huh?

Video evidence…

Last Tuesday (5/2), according to NYPD sources, a twenty-something duded man tried to grab a cop’s gun who was on a paid detail outside of Monroe College (Bronx, NY) as several passers-by stopped and gawked… but… not help.monroe

A video that was attained shows the dude approach the cops and then tries to take his service weapon.  The two struggled, the gun gets free, but the cop managed to keep one of his hands on the weapon as he fought off his attacker with the other. Eventually, he somehow gets the weapon into his left pocket.  A nearby security guard then rushes into the fray and the attacking dude is subdued and eventually cuffed and busted with robbery, felony assault, weapon possession, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Now… despite the NYPD comments that seem to suggest civilians did nothing … besides the security guard who may or may not have some training in violent situations… to help an officer in trouble let me play devil’s advocate here…

What the hell happens if one them “onlookers” who did nothing (I am assuming they also didn’t call 911 but that’s another issue altogether) did do something… physically intervened… and somehow the cops weapon went off and they were wounded or worse killed?

Then does a cop spokesperson say it was a tragedy and while the police do laud the heroic actions of the civilian(s)… coming to the aid of an officer… civilians aren’t trained professionals and should not attempt to interfere or interact in police activities?

Or…what happens… if, the weapon somehow is grabbed by a civilian and then the weapon goes off… wounding… pick your poison here… the cop… the criminal… or… another civilian…or any combination of these folks? Then what all comes down?

So, yeah, the cops can say not one of those civilians looking on did anything with the implied message being see how folks are when a cop’s life is on the line… but… what if the worst happened then what the hell would them same cops be saying?

Just seems to me this was the cops talking about a bad situation where a cop was in mortal danger and used it as subliminal propaganda to show how some folk don’t give a shit about cops when maybe nothing of the sort was going down at all. Or… maybe it was… but… the way the cops words were presented it sure did sound like the cops were bitching “Where was the civilian help when a cop’s life was on the line?” And to me that’s an unfair and unnecessary indictment of these folks… at least… without knowing what all was their true intent or the thinking that was in each person’s head.

I just think this is just some more shit added to the fire where the cops have that same old thinking of its “them versus us” when many times it ain’t that at all.

Sometimes it’s just fear itself of untrained people not knowing what the hell should be done that forces them into inaction…

…and… sometimes it’s just dumbass peeps saying “Oh, look… it’s another NY moment…” and then pulling out their phones and getting some video for the latest twitter post.

This is the Lord…

accused-of-negligence-Did ya’ll see the piece about the Israeli dude who went to court to get a restraining order against… wait for it… GOD?

According to what I read the dude said God was bothering him for nigh on three years and that when he went to Israeli cops for help (at least ten times) that they somehow looked at him with eyebrows askance.

So he went to the Haifa Magistrate Court and testified that “For the past three years He started to treat me harshly and not nicely, I complained to the police many times. The Israel police asked me to take out a restraining order.”

According to The Times of Israel, “God did not appear at the hearing, but may have just been taking advantage of His right to remain silent.”

The dude’s request was dismissed as absurd and he was told by the court to go get help somewhere else.

What type of help was not identified…

The Times reported that “God did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”

The Times did not say how they went about asking God for his opinion, either.

Did they call information or what? It’s just that I’d really like to know because if they got God’s number I’d be interesting in having it… just in case…

I mean ya just never know… ya know?

Ya think he’s got call waiting and damn how long ya think ya gotta be on hold… I mean ya just can’t hang up if it’s really God can you?

Nothings ever easy. I tell ya… nothingness and being…

It’s the law…

In NYC ya now have to pay a nickel for a plastic or paper bag every time ya go to the store if ya don’t got your own. It’s the damn law.

I ain’t gonna talk one way or the other about whether I think this is a good law that requires this or not. Environmentalists think it is… others argue that poor folk don’t always have extra nickels to spend on getting the bags.

NYC will charge 5 cents for bags
NYC will charge 5 cents for bags

I will say I tend to lean toward the latter rather than the first opinion… even though I do agree with doing whatever we can to help our environment… not so much for the earth’s sake as it’ll still be here no matter what we all do… it’s us I’m worried about…

It just seems to me whenever they make laws that are supposed to help the environment they create these laws without thinking that sometimes the cost is unfair to poor folks and what the consequences may be when it’s all extended out.

Think about it… Guy needs a car to get to work.  Some folks live where the mass transit ain’t so damn good or in some places its almost non-existent… everyone don’t live in big cities like NYC or LA. Any way… dude gets what he can afford… and… yep… it’s a beater.  It runs but not very well and sooner or later… since he can’t keep up with the needed repairs… its exhaust ain’t pretty. He gets pulled over for excessive exhaust… he gets ticket… $200 or more… he can’t afford to pay that.

Now… to keep his job… he either has to continue violating the law… with an outstanding  violation hanging over his head… or… dig up the money someplace else… which frankly ain’t gonna happen unless he borrows from Peter to pay Paul.

Is that a fair law or not?

Anyway…

That’s not why I am here pontificating today. The reason I am pontificating is this…

I heard on CBS radio that one lawmaker who voted against the law said that some poor folks need the plastic bags for such things as picking up after their dogs when they do their business in the streets of NY because it’s the law and the right thing to do and paper just won’t cut it… but… now they gotta pay the nickel and for some folks it’s just another straw they have to deal with upon their backs (I said that last part… about the straws and stuff… not the political peep.)5 cents

Then CBS said that a politician who voted for the nickel bag (Pun damn well intended… I just had to say it) law simply said “Spend a nickel.”

Kind of cavalier about spending other peoples nickel is what I said to me. I mean, specially when sometimes the onliest friend some folks got is their pet and it’s kinda hard getting a nickel together when they gotta be counting every nickel, dime and penny to make sure they and their pet can have some food for the day. Some days they might just be eating the same dog food, in fact.

So… hey… fuck you, Mr. Politician and the damn horse ya’lls rode in on. Maybe ya’ll got a lot of nickels to rub together but some other folks just might not… they gotta spend their hard found cash on other important stuff like food and finding a spot to stay for the night away from the whims of the world… natures and mans.

Who’s sorry, now?

Once upon a time the Trumpster once poohed, poohed John McCain’s war record to a bunch of Iowan folks… he said McCain was only considered a war hero “because he was captured.” He also said, “I like people who weren’t captured.”McCain

As would be expected, he got lots of very negative feedback about his choice of words regarding McCain who spent five torturous years in a North Vietnamese prisoner of war camp.

McCain seemingly always took the high road and refused to fire back at Trumpster, instead usually just asking for an apology on behalf of all the veterans who ever had to endure being a prisoner of war.

As far as Trumpster and his prez campaign was concerned he stayed quiet, but, then, not that long ago a report came out that said McCain was worried that if he supported Trumpster it could affect his own reelection campaign as a senator from Arizona…

Interesting… huh?

Then this past Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” show, McCain suddenly reversed field and said that Trump “could be a capable leader.” And that the elephant establishment needed to just shut the fuck up and instead of bucking the inevitable Trumpster candidacy, just lend him support.

OK… he really said… “You have to listen to people that have chosen the nominee of our Republican party… I think it would be foolish to ignore them.”

He did revisit Trumpster’s past comments when he also added “There’s a body of American heroes that would like to see him retract that statement… not about me, but about the others.”

And… for him to fully support Trumpster some stuff still needed to happen with the veteran apology being the first big step.

Don’t get me wrong… I think Trumpster should apologize to all veterans for what he said about McCain… and… he should personally… in a face to face sit down… apologize to McCain.

But… is it just me or is McCain letting the Trumpster off the hook too damn easy and is McCain just whoring himself out… like a real damn cheap whore, too.

His price to support Trumpster is essentially an apology? That’s it? Say “I’m sorry” and “Please, be on my side?”

In other words… he’ll support Trumpster regardless of his hurdy gurdy politics just because Trumpster will say he is sorry????

That’s it? Not because of his stand on women’s rights… or taxes… or… for supporting veterans rights… or health care… or… any other really germane issue to what a  person should be saying if they want to be the prez…

Just say “sorry”… and… ya’ll got my support…

Like I said… McCain is acting like a real damn cheap whore.

Will you still love me when I’m older than dirt…

Have ya’l heard about this big time big name three-day California “rock festival” featuring oldies.. yes, they are oldies no matter how ya toss the dice… The Who, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Paul McCartney (1 day only) and Roger Waters. Poster

The cost?  $399 smackeroonies (roughly three times the Woodstock price, in current dollars). And, if,  you want a reserved seat… after all many of those going will also be oldies themselves… you’ll have to lay out $1,599. Plus, if you can still do it and/or are too “cheap” to afford a hotel room… it’s another $99 if you want to camp on site.

Oh? Ya wanna eat, too? $499, if you want food.

For pretty much… no matter how ya cut it…a bunch of old farts pretending to be what they were a long long, long time ago when they wee supposedly anti-establishment rock and rollers.

My, my said the spider to the fly…
