The Hall of Fame Tour

The Hall of Fame Tour:

Hall of FamePREQUEL TO THE QUEST

Visiting all four Halls of Fame for the four major North American sports has always been a dream of mine. As a fan of every one of those sports, my reasons to want to see their respective meccas are obvious. As a sports fan in Ottawa , my exposure to professional sports and sports in general outside of hockey is very minute. As a history buff, I wanted to learn everything, a shallow goal that barely belies my Ponce de Leon-esque quest for the fountain of knowledge.

However, my trip was much more than that. Doing them at different times would be fun, but doing them all at the same time makes my journey all the more poignant. There’s something special about sweeping through the annals of sports history in one solid trip; it almost intensifies the experience by allowing you to totally become immersed in the wonders of sport.

I need to give major props to my dad, who agreed to my haughty dream, financed it, and put up with me through the entire journey. I also need to give thanks to Jason Fasel, who recommended that I write an article about every Hall of Fame that I visit.

Enjoy!
