I’ll be honest with you, I think this is the Brothers vs Kenichi. But someone can jump up, but lets also be clear, a DOG ACT won this show last year. I’ve tried to find out how well the show is doing in Vegas, but nogo there. Terry Fader is STILL doing his act. Lets goto the show!
Chicago Boyz – Jump ropers
Was an interesting set, they keep bringing out more stuff to throw out there, but still, its jumping rope.
Everyone but Heidi talks nerves and mistakes. Nick didn’t see any mistakes.
Branden James – Singer “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen.
I enjoyed it. Good and powerful. This is how you make me care.
I upset the wife during the Video package, when the dad dais he wasn’t going to give up, I asked quite simply “Has anyone ever given up on this show?” Howard brings up Forte, as if one of them was going to knock out the other.
D’Angelo & Amanda – Ballroom dancers
Interesting, but seemed to spend too much time running around, but I enjoyed it. Howard says on any other season, they would have won. Don’t see THAT, but I enjoyed it.
Catapult Entertainment – Shadow dancing to Stand by Me
Went back to the storytelling, Sadly to me, its getting to the point that I have seen it, kinda like D’Angelo and Amanda, and the Amazement is just not there.
Forte – Singers – Titanic Theme
Uh, maybe I missed it. I don’t see the power here. What am I missing? I have no doubt that they are impressive, but I just felt it was flat here. I must be the only one.
Taylor Williamson – Comedian
I enjoyed it, I got 3 laughs, the wife got 4. She thought it was his best set. I thought it was excellent. He’s not only funny on his set, he also is funny off, and thinks on his feet. Comedians have some of the hardest jobs here. Has to be funny when something doesn’t go, and has to be original.
Collins Key – Magician
Again, this seemed to be overly convoluted. I’m just not that impressed by it. The trick just seemed over produced.
Kenichi Ebina – Dancer
HOLY SHIT. He took a major chance here, making it just a dance. But just was awesome. The strobe dancing was impressive. Seemed a little pinnocio at the beginning, but he threw a twist in there with the angel. I thoughroly enjoyed it. Howard compared it to an artist going acoustic. That was a great way to put it. The wife was not that impressed.
Jimmy Rose – Singer – God gave me you
I still don’t get the appeal here. I’m sorry. Howie also didn’t get a wow moment. Howard wants him to get out of his comfort zone. Maybe thats it. When you sing recent or popular songs, you are not only competing with everyone else, but also the original.
At this point, we noticed we were missing two, we had to back up the DVR, no idea how that happened. Sorry for being out of order.
Innovative Force – Dance Troupe
Better than before, but again, good enough?
KriStef Brothers – Comedic hand balancing duo
Oh too funny, The wife laughed out loud twice, I did as well. I thought it was just amazing. Kenichi has competition.
Cami Bradley – Singer – Living on a prayer.
She took a chance, but I didn’t like it. The wife was really turned off by it. I think she would have done better had she just belted it out and tried to not do the vocal acrobatics. I just didn’t like it. Where keeping it real goes bad.
My rankings. Again these are my enjoyment.
D’Angelo & Amanda
I think Collins makes it over D’Angelo and Amanda, but again, these are in MY prefence. I could also see Cami making it and knocking out Catapult Entertainment.
The Wife’s Listing.
D’Angelo & Amanda
The Wife quit after this one. She can’t take narrowing it down. She’s starting to get mad at me.
