Full List of Strikeforce Fighters moving over.
Of course, you can get that anywhere, what I’m going to give you is who thier first matchup SHOULD be, Not to mention some good fighters the UFC MISSED
Cause I love to book fights.
-Daniel Cormier (11-0 MMA, 8-0 SF)
Frank Mir is the obvious one, and its booked for San Jose on BIGFOX. After he wins that, he wants Bones. I’d like to see him get a fight with another top contender to pop them off before, but I doubt that happens.
Notice no Josh Barnett. Josh is not exactly on his knees to come over, and he lost a LOT of leverage losing to DC in the tournament finals. I think this could be just a ploy, but If Dana dosen’t want him, I don’t think Bellator can afford him.
-Gegard Mousasi (33-3-2 MMA, 4-1-1 SF)
Tommorrow, my Light Heavyweight standings hits, and I’ll discuss Mousasi there.
–Gian Villante (10-3 MMA, 3-2 SF)
I really don’t know why they brought him over, but its not like 205 doesn’t have 15 guys on the roster that are like that. He is on a 3 fight winning streak, so how about Cody Donovan? He’s on a 4 fight winning streak, and no one knows him either.
Why wasn’t OSP brought over? He lost to Mousasi, but he’s on a 9-1 run right now.
-Luke Rockhold (10-1 MMA, 9-0 SF)
The Champ is HERE!
So we do the title unification, right? No.
–Roger Gracie (6-1 MMA, 4-1 SF)
No Brainer, Gotta have a Gracie in the UFC, Right?
How about Riki Fukuda (win or lose) at the next overseas card in Asia?
–Tim Kennedy (15-4 MMA, 6-2 SF)
Much as I’d love to see him face Brian Stann, I don’t think he’s that high yet, so how about Tom Lawlor? The news out of his camp is he wants to drop to Welterweight, and if he does THAT, I have a great fight for him- KOSCHECK.
–Lorenz Larkin (13-0 MMA, 4-0 SF)
Undefeated, and could really be popular, I’d have to get him curtain-jerking on FX. How about CHRIS LEBEN? You know he’s going to bang. Larkin/Leben? I can live with that.
–Ronaldo Souza (17-3 MMA, 7-1 SF)
How about Jason MacDonald? Has a ton of fights, and could be an interesting ground matchup.
Best might be Yancy Mederiros, unless you are a Keith Jardine fan.
-Tarec Saffiedine (14-3 MMA, 6-1 SF)
Unreal what he did. I’d LOVE to see him vs . . . .ERICK SILVA. Think on it.
–Nate Marquardt (32-11-2 MMA, 1-1 SF, 10-4 UFC)
Once again, I’m looking at Koscheck for his return to the UFC, or if not, how about the Hardy/Brown winner?
–Roger Bowling (11-3 MMA, 4-3 SF)
Mike Swick. Done.
-Jason High (16-3 MMA, 3-0 SF, 0-1 UFC)
High has really pulled himself together, and I’ll take the Gunnar Nelson/Justin Edwards winner.
–Bobby Voelker (24-8 MMA, 4-1 SF)
I like John Hathaway here, I think thats a good matchup for Fuel.
Jorge Santiago, anyone?
Kazuo Misaki is still on the roster as well.
Gilbert Melendez (21-2 MMA, 11-1 SF)
Going to get a title shot. After Dana blew money on another longtime titleholder from another promotion, he can’t risk Gilbert losing to someone like Maynard or Pettis before getting a shot.
–Ryan Couture (6-1 MMA, 6-1 SF)
–K.J. Noons (11-6 MMA, 3-4 SF)
We need a rematch here. This was utter BS. Give KJ a chance to get his win back.
–Pat Healy (29-16 MMA, 7-1 SF, 0-1 UFC)
I feel for this guy, he’ll never get another chance at a belt, but how about we give him a chance to go after one in the UFC with Mac Danzig?
–Kurt Holobaugh (8-1 MMA, 0-1 SF)
Good record, needs a test, how about we put him infront of a (Miles) Jury? Rumors are he’s going to 145, however.
–Adriano Martins (24-6 MMA, 1-0 SF)
Mac Danzig would be a good matchup, they both have a ton of fights that need to go somewhere.
–Josh Thomson (19-5 MMA, 10-3 SF, 2-1 UFC)
How about Ross Pearson? They both can bang, and they both have bad losses. Good matchup in my eyes.
Jorge Masvidal, can’t do anything wrong there.
Matt Ricehouse should be on a Fuel card, or at worst ruining TUF ala Mac Danzig.
Estevan Payan is in the same boat, and he won on the final SF card.
Anyone I miss? Got a better matchup?
