Christmas Gift From the 1%

Want to hear about something awesome from the 1% that you won’t hear about much?

tbooneT. Boone Pickens is the type of alum any school would want, the man funds scholarships, and almost single-handily has kept OSU on par, or above, the rest of the Big 12 as far as sports facilities.

But its not just about football. Tuesday T boone Pickens bought up the 4,000 tickets that were unsold for the Gonzaga basketball game and just gave them away, first come first served (up to 6) He wants to fill the stands and this is one thing that more schools need to do on the holidays, especially if its going to be on TV.

I have no idea how much the tickets cost, and yes I know that T Boone will probably make more that week while he sleeps than buying every ticket in the arena would cost, but how many times have you heard of ONE man buying that many tickets just to give them away? I know some companies have bought boatloads of tickets just to avoid a sellout (New Orleans Hornets being a prime example) but thats a tax writeoff for most companies with decent accounting firms and healthy advertisement budgets.
